(Brian Cox) - Zeu's father, a critic of the Thinkers and skeptic of
the exploration of Blue.  Osei (Orlando Bloom) - Zeu's older and, often times, patronizing brother. Runs with a group called the Young Pioneers who hope to be selected by the Thinkers for the explore team traveling to Blue.  Zeu
(James Franco) - a teenager with a thirst for adventure. Spends his
days flying on the back of Big, the Wing he has trained to carry him

(Dave Matthews with some aging makeup) - an old wanderer who sings
and plays a guitar, prophesizing about love and the future of the
inhabitants of Kyb, Bas and Iap. He helps Zeu discover the answers

(Natalie Portman) - a beautiful young girl, impulsive and fearless.
Challenges Zeu in ways he cannot completely comprehend.
